Letter 17 – Stupid Ignorance

 

Dear Garrett,

 I can’t help but associate the beginning of your true end with the end of Liam’s life. I don’t know if it’s true, but the association is there.

He had dropped out of school by then. I don’t think you were good friends anymore. But I don’t know. I know you saw each other, but I don’t know how often, or under what circumstances. I know there was a relationship of some kind. Doing what, I don’t know. Just that you had news of him sometimes. How ignorant of both of you I am. How can I not have known these things?
